Climate change targets need to be ‘five times more ambitious’, say scientists.

Addressing an event at the United Nations Climate Change Summit on the last day of his four-day stay in New York, Frances Beinecke, chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), acknowledged the fact that the science on climate change is flawed and challenged global leaders who had committed to accelerate plans to limit the temperature rise beyond 2 degrees Celsius.
